Background

The new corporate facility in Lengau has become a prestigious event center for Palfinger’s customers and business partners. Until now, changing the content meant having to redesign and reconfigure the physical signage for each event, a process that was neither quick nor professionally scalable.

Palfinger’s goal was to integrate an infrastructure that covers visitor information, event staging and internal wayfinding — and that can be adapted quickly to changing events without the need for physical modifications.

Solution

With the help of FRAMR., Palfinger established a scalable digital signage infrastructure consisting of nine PRO players, four SDM players, one Panorama player and one streaming server. This enables Palfinger to display a variety of content at different locations — from welcome messages in the visitor center to agenda displays in the event area, as well as lectern displays and digital wayfinding signs in adjacent areas. The team remains flexible, as it can update content remotely and in real time.

Technical challenge

The main challenge was to display live broadcasts of events synchronously on multiple screens throughout the building in real time — while accommodating different content requirements for each area. The requirements also included the ability to quickly adapt content for events and ensure clear wayfinding.
