About the Project
With its new facility in Lengau, PALFINGER has created modern workspaces and production areas as well as a prestigious event center for customers and traders.
The building complex serves as a platform for:
- Customer events
- Trader events
- Product presentations
- Training sessions and lectures
The goal was to implement a flexible digital signage infrastructure that professionally handles visitor information, event staging, and internal wayfinding.
Challenge
The event center places special demands on internal and external communication. Different event formats require dynamic and flexible content management. Content can be planned in advance based on the event calendar, but must also be adaptable at short notice depending on the event, without the need to replace or redesign physical signage.
Simultaneously, the goal was to create a professional first impression in the visitor center. Reception and welcome content needed to be tailored to individual guests and presented in accordance with the corporate identity. Furthermore, clear wayfinding within the building had to be ensured, including in restroom and ancillary areas.
Another key aspect was the ability to broadcast events live on multiple displays throughout the building. This was intended to ensure consistent event communication across the entire event center. The technical solution therefore had to be visually appealing and well-designed from an infrastructure standpoint.
Technical Implementation
For the implementation, a scalable digital signage infrastructure was set up, comprising a total of nine PRO players, four SDM players, one PANORAMA player, and one streaming server.
In the visitor center, displays are used for welcoming messages, event announcements and company information. In the event area, large-format and wide displays along the entrance to the hall provide a visual presentation of the agenda, branding, and program items. An additional integrated display at the lectern enables the speaker to be consistently integrated into the respective event design.
The streaming server enables live broadcasting of events across multiple displays in the building and ensures synchronized playback in real time. Additionally, digital wayfinding displays in restroom and auxiliary areas aid navigation and can be flexibly adapted depending on the event.
Result
With the implemented digital signage solution, PALFINGER now has a communication infrastructure that:
- professionally stages events,
- efficiently guides visitors,
- flexibly manages content based on the event,
- integrates live streaming,
- and conveys brand communication in accordance with the corporate identity.
