Digital Wayfinding System for the Public Utilities of Voitsberg and Judenburg
Public Institutions
Initial Situation
A modern wayfinding system was to be installed in the cemeteries managed by Stadtwerke Voitsberg and Stadtwerke Judenburg to assist visitors in locating gravesites. The goal was to find a digital solution that was both intuitive to use and robust enough for long-term outdoor use.
Solution for Stadtwerke Voitsberg
A digital wayfinding system based on outdoor kiosks with 49-inch touchscreens was implemented.
Using the interactive displays, visitors can search for specific deceased individuals and view the location where they were buried. Operation is entirely touch-based and has been deliberately kept simple so that even those less tech-savvy can quickly access the desired information.
The hardware used consists of one FRAMR. Player PRO per unit. It reliably controls the content, even in changing weather conditions, and ensures stable display of the interactive applications in outdoor settings.
Implementation
- Use of robust and weather-resistant outdoor kiosks for year-round operation
- 49-inch touchscreens for easy-to-read and comfortable on-site use
- Centralized content control and monitoring via the FRAMR. Cockpit
- Intuitive user guidance for quick orientation in the memorial forest
The solution blends discreetly into the surroundings and complements the natural atmosphere of the memorial forests without appearing intrusive.
Result
With the digital wayfinding system, the cemeteries in Voitsberg and Judenburg now offer visitors a modern, service-oriented solution.
The interactive kiosks significantly improve wayfinding, reduce uncertainty when searching for gravesites, and enhance the visitor experience by providing clear, respectful information. At the same time, the municipal utilities benefit from a low-maintenance, flexibly expandable digital signage solution that can be adapted to new requirements over the long term.
