Case Study – Arbeiterkammer Linz

Public institutions

Company and initial situation

The “Arbeiterkammer Linz”, based in Linz, represents the interests of more than 650,000 employees as a statutory representative institution. In addition to providing advice and legal protection, the AK attaches great importance to modern communication that reaches both its members and the general public.

With this in mind, the AK Linz approached us with the following request: a double-sided display was to be integrated at the rear main entrance of the headquarters to inform staff inside and at the same time draw the attention of passers-by outside to current events and dates.

Technical specifications of the displays

A double-sided, free-standing, high-brightness 75-inch LCD display is used. The exterior is equipped with a particularly robust High TNI 105°C/110°C industrial panel and achieves a brightness of 2,500 nits, ensuring that content remains clearly visible even in direct sunlight. The inside provides optimal visibility for staff in the entrance area with 700 nits. The system complies with CE, FCC, and RoHS standards and is equipped with an integrated FRAMR. Player (RK3568, 4 GB RAM, 16 GB eMMC, WLAN), which ensures reliable control and seamless integration into the existing infrastructure.

Solutions

To meet the requirements of the Linz Chamber of Labor, a double-sided 75″ display was chosen, which is clearly visible outdoors even in daylight thanks to its high brightness. To ensure that the installation blends harmoniously into the existing architecture, the display frame was given a color tone that matches the existing window frames exactly.

On the technical side, only an HDMI input was necessary to integrate the content directly from the AK’s existing IGEL operating system. This allowed the existing infrastructure to be used seamlessly while creating a modern signage solution that works for both internal and external communication.
